Google, the most popular of search engines by far, has something called PageRank to pick which websites get put on the first page. Normally, only pages with decent backlinks get on page 1 (and therefore get clicked on). The ranking  is based on how many sites link to you, and how high those sites are. In order to improve your ranking, you need to create lots of DoFollow backlinks.

What is a DoFollow Backlink?

A backlink is when another site links to your site. A DoFollow backlink is a type of link which passes “link juice” to your website and improves your ranking. Basically it gives credibility to your site. The opposite is a NoFollow link which is a type of link that doesn’t pass any credibility. Each site chooses if their site gives DoFollow or NoFollow backlinks.

The hottest thing online is social media. There are lots of social bookmarking websites where you can bookmark your site (and others) and share them with people. Social bookmarking websites will get you visitors as well as give you links to improve your website’s PageRank.

3. Searchengine Submission:

4. One way links (using Guest Posts):

This is tougher than other four techniques. To do this you have to get another website to link to you without linking back. Other than having good content that gets linked to organically, the best thing to do is email other website owners and ask them to link to a post of yours. Alternatively, you can contact them on the forums you’re active in (from step 2 J). But the best way to get one way links is to ask to write guest posts for blogs you actively follow in your niche. Since you’ve been actively commenting on them (from step 1 J) this shouldn’t be a problem. Send the website owner’s an email with a sample of your work and ask to guest post. Most will be happy to have some new content that their readers want. Best of all, every guest post gets you a one way link.

5. DoFollow blog commenting:

Commenting on DoFollow blogs is one of the best ways to improve your website PageRank.  Blogs allow you to comment on their blog posts. All you have to do is find DoFollow blogs by searching on Google for “DoFollow blogs niche” with niche being what your website is about. So if you have a cooking website, search for “DoFollow blogs cooking”. Then find a blog you like, and make a relevant comment on a post. Don’t spam, but leave a good comment and a link back to your website. This is the simplest method and will really help your ranking after a few comments, especially for a young blog.

6. Forum Signature Links:

Many forums allow you to add signature links. These links are located at the footer of the post. Like DoFollow blogs, the forums have to be DoFollow in order to improve the ranking of your website. Use the same method of finding DoFollow website to find DoFollow forums in your niche. The same rules for comments apply to forums: you should never spam; if you do you will get banned from the forum. Be an active participant and people will be interested to look at your site, assuming it’s relevant.

Following these six steps covers the vast majority of off-site optimization. It’s not fast, and it’s not (too) easy. But with a little hard work, you’ll soon see your PageRank increase and you’re visitor numbers grow.

Additionally, having original content allows you to include the keywords that are important to you. But most of all, people want to read original content and are always looking for sites with good original content.

3. Quality content:  No matter how good your design, your product or service, or your SEO website optimization, having bad content will make sure no one reads your site. Content on your website plays the most vital role in pulling in visitors and good content above all else will make your website successful. All the SEO in the world can’t help a website with poor quality content. At the end of the day, people are reading your website and they are the ones who will determine if your blog is successful. SEO can help them get to your website, but original, quality content will keep them there and get people talking about your website and linking back.

Doing any of these could really get you and your site banned from Google and the other search engines, and it’ll really give you a bad reputation among people who find out you use these techniques. You should never experiment with these on your website

Only use WhiteHat SEO for improving your website. BlackHat SEO is tempting but doesn’t last long hiding from Google. You should be aware of Blackhat SEO, but stick to the good stuff, it’s worth it in the end.
