There has been a boom in SEO services, and with that an increase in people offering SEO techniques. With these advancements, techniques have fallen into two different categories – WhiteHat SEO and Blackhat SEO. There’s a big difference in the two, and you need to know which one is ok to use and which one you have to be aware of so you don’t use it. If you’re not careful, you can end up banned from Google and all your SEO effects won’t mean anything.

WhiteHat SEO

WhiteHat SEO is the SEO we all know about. It involves the ethical techniques which follow all terms and conditions, rules and regulations of Google and other websites. You may see results slower than with BlackHat SEO, you’ll never get banned from Google or other sites. Sooner or later any website that uses BlackHat will go down without warning.

BlackHat SEO

Is a process of optimizing a website unethically so that the website improves its SEO a lot quicker than via the normal process of WhiteHat SEO techniques. I’m not going to go too in depth as to what those processes are (a curious mind could do some independent research). Some techniques involve: Keyword Stuffing, Doorway Page, and Invisible Text. But don’t get excited about BlackHat SEO techniques because Google and the other search engines really hate them. Doing any of these could really get you and your site banned from Google and the other search engines, and it’ll really give you a bad reputation among people who find out you use these techniques. You should never experiment with these on your website

Only use WhiteHat SEO for improving your website. BlackHat SEO is tempting but doesn’t last long hiding from Google. You should be aware of Blackhat SEO, but stick to the good stuff, it’s worth it in the end.
